Skill Building Knit focuses on a different skill and project each month; together, we'll tackle Cables, Colorwork, Texture, and more!
Skill Building Knit Includes:
- Apple Fiber Studio hand-dyed yarn, Apple Crisp—218 yds, 100% Merino, Worsted Weight. This will be the yarn used most months; save your scraps for future colorwork projects. The yarn will be in hand-dyed semi-solids and multiple colors.
- Two classes based on the suggested projects for the month. For example, each month, you'll receive a pattern or a link to a free pattern. The first video class will walk through the suggested pattern; the second class is live and open to questions (this class is also recorded). These are only available to current Skill Building Club members.
- Printed pattern or pattern suggestions for FREE patterns.
- The Facebook group is just for Subscription Box members - another great place to ask questions and get answers.
- Skill Building Knit can be canceled at any time.
- VIP pricing is only for the first month.
Your box will ship by the end of each month. Orders placed after the 24th of the month will be incorporated into the next month's schedule. After the initial sign-up payment, monthly subscriptions are billed on the 15th of the month and you can cancel at any time.

If your order is below $120, shipping is $18.99. Shipping to other countries is also available. You'll receive a tracking number when your order has shipped, we ship Monday through Friday. Dropped shipped prodcuts ship direct from the supplier and cannot be wound.
Our main goal is to make you happy with your purchase. If for any reason you're not 100% thrilled with your order, you can return or exchange the items within 30 days of delivery. I can't say how much this has helped me realize what I am capable of. But most recently i decided to knit a top down cardigan that was written to be knit flat and I didn't want to so i adapted it to steek it. I would never have done this if I had not done the steeking with apple yarns
I love the yarn and am looking forward to the club membership. I especially like being able to review the video at my pace and leisure.
I have always been afraid of steeking, that project was perfect to learn how. I just received the brioche pumpkin and i’m looking forward to trying this, just not sure about the double pointed needles. You have me wanting to learn more.
I absolutely love the Apple Yarns!!! The colors for this project were PERFECT!!! I now want to make something out of the color Latte foam. I love being exposed to a “new to me” knit designer and learning the creative way she made this hat.
I didn’t love the video. I prefer when a teacher shows me the techniques step by step. I found have 3 people offering input distracting and interrupted the flow of learning. However, I understand that there was some need. I was thrown at plug for the merchandise in the middle of “class”. I would love to know what items will make doing a knit better or simpler but either at the beginning or the end of a video. I ended up leaving the video, going on you tube to learn the technique of the German cast on and of the twin stitch. Which is some ways defeated the purpose of watching the video.
That said, the skill builder accomplished what I wanted which is to be exposed to new techniques that I wasn’t even aware of and made something that is so adorable! Apple Yarns your talent with colors is A++++. I can’t wait to get started on this month’s lesson.
Thank you for your review we will work on your points. I am thrilled that you love the colors so much. There was alot to learn this month, we usually get everything in one hour but this month was two hours. This fall we are adding time stamps for learning lessons so that it is easier to make watching points easier to find. As for product placement, our goal is to demonstrate tools. It is such a balance. It is so much fun to have new yarn each month and a pattern and zoom class and each month when i go get my kit it gets me out of the house to go look at all the pretty stuff Andrea tells us about each week ...i love this it is fantastic and there is time on Sunday to go sit and knit if you need or want help of course if you just stop by they are always willing to help also....love this
