Steps to creating a first sweater that fits.

• Measure an existing favorite sweater. These are the measurements you will knit or crochet too.
• Do a gauge swatch and wash it using the suggested washing/drying methods.
• Use a proven pattern; below are 2 of our favorites.
• Choose the correct yarn. A light color and a wool blend are preferable. Wool's natural elasticity makes knitting or crocheting easier.  Cotton tends to show mistakes more, and it has no natural elasticity.
• For Knit, we suggest the Flax Sweater by Tin Can Knits in worsted-weight yarns.
• For Crochet, we suggest the Rochester Pullover by Toni Lipsey in worsted weight yarns.
