Get ready for fair isle fun 🎉. This is an easy colorwork project; great for the beginner and exciting enough for the more experienced knitter. Each beanie knitting kit has enough yarn to make 2 hats when you reverse the colors. Nancy Bates writes nice clear patterns with charts that are clear and big enough to actually see.
👉 The kit includes 1 skein of Malabrigo Rios in Denim, 1 skein of Vintage in 5101, and 6 stitch markers to make the Mammoth Mountain Beanie. There is enough yarn for two beanies when you reverse the colors.Â
👉 The Kit does not include the knitting needles or the Mammoth Mountain Beanie pattern; pattern calls for US 5 (3.75mm) for the brim and US 7 (4.5mm) for the hat body. The Mammoth Mountain Beanie pattern is available in Nancy Bates's Knitting California Book or on Ravelry for $5.00. The pattern is not included in the kit price, sized adult, 19" to 22".
About the yarn:Â We chose 2 colors in two bases (Malabrigo Rios & Berroco Vintage) to get the closest match to Nancy Bates' sample beanie. Our store sample is done in the same colors as this kit. Both Rios and Vintage are machine washable and ultra-soft, making this a beanie you won't want to take off!
