All the Details
About the Yarn
Istex Lettlopi is an aran-weight woolen-spun yarn sourced from Icelandic sheep. Their double-coat results in two fiber types spun together to create the ultimate yarn known for exceptional warmth and durability. Note that some people find Lettlopi too scratchy to wear next to skin, so instead they opt to use it for outerwear garments.
The Benefits
Lettlopi comes in a wide variety of beautiful heathered colors already wound into balls and ready to use. The long staple length from Icelandic sheep coats result in a yarn that lasts a lifetime with minimal pilling, it can often be passed down across generations.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS
Icelandic yarns are rough and itchy but felt well. I would use them as trim or part of a pattern on a felted garment or hat.
Love the look and feel.
This year is good for sweaters and loose tension. I used to much tension trying to make socks. The yarn kept breaking. It’s been a long time since I knitted with pure wool.
This yarn is so beautiful and toasty warm. I’m crocheting a long cardigan for myself with it, and having a blast doing it!
I actually ordered 6 more skeins of it because I’m going to run out soon.
I can’t wait to finish this project and wear the cardigan!
Such a fun yarn to work with!! Authentic color work!
Laura, thank you for the 5 star review of Lettlopi. Enjoy, Andrea
