Description

Double Split Color-Blocked Cowl by Churchmouse Yarns and Teas

“Peek-a-boo!”

This cowl is doubly clever, doubly cozy, and doubly fun! Color-blocked and with splits on either end, this cuddly cowl offers a little peek-a-boo of contrasting color when worn. And the one-by-one ribbing is completely reversible, so you can choose which color you’d like to show off. Knit in a super-bulky yarn and on large needles, it’s a quick knit, too!

Kit includes three skeins of Chibi Paka Chunky in coordinating colors, fun stitch markers and a printed copy of the pattern. Needles (pattern calls for US 15, but we like the fabric of the cowl knit up on a US 11 or US 13) not included.

Chibi Paka Chunky from Ikigai Fiber, a lovely squishy combination of baby alpaca with superwash merino wool that results in yarn with great body and stitch definition that is heavenly soft with a wee bit of halo.

Weight: 50g in Bulky (5)

Yardage: 55 yards (50 meters)

Fiber Content: 75% superwash merino; 25% baby alpaca

Care: Hand wash using wool soap and lay flat to dry.

Double Split Color Blocked Cowl Kit

I used size 15 needles before seeing the hand written note on your picture/instructions that you used size 11 needles. I think that would have looked better with your yarn substitution. I am going to try two colors in wool for a quick cowl gift, and probably increase the cast on # stitches. Felting may be an interesting experiment too! :-)
