Are you looking for a fun knitting project? Look no further than the Rocky Peak Ridge colorwork hat! With its slightly slouchy design, it's the perfect accessory for any outfit. This hat is great for both beginners and more advanced knitters to enjoy.
Tip: Place stitch markers between pattern repeats, so it is easy to spot a mistake.
For this project, we chose to work with Universal Yarns Fawning, a beautifully soft sport weight alpaca-wool blend yarn from Berroco that is perfect for finer colorwork. Choose from four color options to set the mood for your Rocky Peak Ridge Hat. If you would like to choose your own colors look HERE.
The Yarn: Fawning by Universal Yarns is 70% baby alpaca, 30% merino wool. Hand wash and lay flat to dry. This yarn is so soft, we like to pet it every time we walk by :)
The kit includes:
- Two skeins in contrasting colors of Fawning - enough yarn for one hat.
- Rocky Peak Ridge Hat pattern is included: We will email you the digital pattern from Ravelry and send you a black-and-white printed copy with the yarn. Please include your Ravelry Name in the notes section at checkout. Otherwise, we will use your email.
Needles are not included; you can find needles for sale here, US 3 x 16", 5 x 16" and #5 DPN
*Note on needles: Because of Fawning's incredibly soft blend of baby alpaca and merino, you might want to consider sizing down a needle for the ribbing to a US 2 if you have a smaller head. Christiane at Apple Yarns made hers using the recommended needles and it fits, but it isn't snug. YMMV :)
