A Brief History of Spincycle Yarns
Spincycle Yarns began as a handspinnery back in 2004, with Kate and Rachel kettle dyeing and spinning all of their yarn in small batches and selling at the local farmers’ market. In 2012, a little fiber mill opened its doors just south of our Bellingham, Washington. They partnered with them to begin production of a millspun yarn that would maintain the look of their handspun yarn but that could be produced at a much faster pace. Turns out that was a pretty good idea. They still dye each and every lot themselves, and the mill employs two lovely ladies who spin up all four yarn lines.\
